The Fourth Industrial Revolution

Elon Musk, Klaus Schwab, and Neuro-Technological Brain Enhancements

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, a book written by Klaus Schwab. Have you heard of it? Apparently, it is what Klaus Schwab describes our current time of intelligence as a society.  He notes Neuro-technological brain enhancements in the first paragraph of the description on the World Economic Forum website:

“Ubiquitous, mobile supercomputing. Intelligent robots. Self-driving cars. Neuro-technological brain enhancements. Genetic editing. The evidence of dramatic change is all around us and it’s happening at exponential speed.

Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, has been at the center of global affairs for over four decades. He is convinced that we are at the beginning of a revolution that is fundamentally changing the way we live, work and relate to one another, which he explores in his new book, The Fourth Industrial Revolution.”

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is a fusion of the digital, physical, and biological worlds. It is the growing utilization of new and modern technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D Printing, the Internet of Things, advanced wireless technologies, and more.

Elon Musk created a business in 2016, Neuralink. The homepage for Musk’s Neuralink website describes it as “Breakthrough Technology for the Brain.” Musk intends to use the brain implant to bring mobility to the disabled and impaired. The Neuralink website describes the application for the brain implant here:

“The initial goal of our technology is to help people with paralysis regain independence through the control of computers and mobile devices. Our devices are therefore currently being designed to one day give people the ability to communicate more easily via text or speech synthesis, to follow their curiosity on the web, or to express their creativity through photography, art, or writing apps.”

This sounds like a beautiful idea. To bring mobility to the impaired and vision to the blind. However, as is mentioned in the video linked above, there is a question of ethics.

This artificial intelligence is incredible and can be used with the idea of beauty for humanity, but as we all know, the road to hell was paved with good intentions.

I have skepticism of Elon Musk, I think we all should be skeptical of anyone with the ability to monopolize the world. The person rivaling Elon Musk in world domination is the leader of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, who has already shared plans and goals for the world to look like China and the way of the world is through this Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Are we really so naive as to think that all modern technology is for the betterment of humanity? It goes beyond cynicism to question whether a breakthrough for a small group of people would not open a door to the enslavement of the majority.

Take the LGBTQ community. The laws that have been passed for the minority group have altered the laws of major fundamental ideals of the American Constitution.

With Communism on the rise from small to large scales in America and clearly the world, The Fourth Industrial Revolution should be nothing to overlook. Something else that we should not be overlooking is the power Artificial Intelligence and the Fourth Industrial Revolution will bring to countries beyond the power of oil and gas, such as Saudi Arabia. That is a story for another day. But if you haven’t already I suggest you write this down to google later: NEOM.
